Touring by hand cycle is a tricky experience.  We have to consider many more things than traditional cyclist.  For those of us who have bike toured...where have you been?  Do you  recommend it?  This blog can be a warehouse for places and stories for us wishing to bike tour by hand cycle.

I have bike toured down the California coast and around New Zealand. California was very hilly, with narrow dangerous roads. Most overnights where camping since many places are remote, especially through Big Sur. This is best for strong climbers.
New Zealand was more an experience than just a cycle tour. North Island is somewhat hilly but manageable. South Island is too mountainous...don't even try it. Accessibility is great in NZ, probably even better than in the States. Drivers fly by but not unsafely.
